Ukulele performance

Thank you to all the parents who came last week to watch Gascoigne's ukulele assembly. I'm sure you'll all agree the children were great and you could see how hard they (and Mr Grant) have been working. Please encourage the children to keep working on their chords at home so we can continue to move forward when Mr Grant visits on a Tuesday.

Nigeria Talk

We had a fantastic morning in KS2 today as Mrs Bajulaiye visited each class to talk to the children about where she was born and grew up. The children learnt about similarities and differences between Nigeria and the UK for things such as food, clothing, customs and language. They also had great fun trying on some traditional outfits and looking through Mrs Bajulaiye's wedding photos.

Autumn Half Term

What a busy first half term it has been in Gascoigne class!!
The children have worked incredibly hard and have learnt so much in a short space of time!

From Roman Numerals and angles in maths to calligrams and letter writing in literacy.
We have also started to discover our Tribal Tales topic, producing accurate timelines and cave drawings, investigated sound in science and we have even managed to find time to learn the ukulele!

I hope the photos give you an idea of the super work produced!
